Items that require presentation of receipt:< /b>

  • Most wireless phones can be returned within 14 days.

  • Prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, and hearing aids can be returned within 60 days.
  • Trees, perennials, and bushes can be returned to the store within 1 year.
  • Unopened tobacco products and alcoholic beverages can only be returned to the original store where they were purchased.

Home & Garden Equipment: must be returned within 90 days. Empty the gasoline or other flammable materials before return. (for example, lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, chain saws, generators, air conditioners, evaporators, dehumidifiers, compressors, and pressurized water machines). DO NOT remove Freon from heating units. air conditioners. For items on walmart.com, check the item page to confirm that it can be returned by mail.

Tires: New tires that have never been mounted or installed can be returned within 90 days to any store with a Car Care Center. Stores without a Car Care Center cannot accept tire returns.

Photographic prints, personalized items, and photo products (for example, blankets, mugs, calendars):can be returned within 90 days to a store or you can contact us at walmart.com/help. Do not return them by mail.


Funeral products: (for example, caskets, caskets) can be exchanged within 90 days if damaged or defective and unused. New or used items are non-refundable.

Some products, if opened or used, can only be exchanged for an identical or similar item as follows:

*NOTE : Money transfers can be refunded to the sending customer if the funds have not been received or deposited in the receivers bank account/mobile wallet. The client must have the Reference Number or Transfer Control Number (MTCN) of the transaction and the corresponding identification.

Payment orders can be reimbursed in cash up to 180 days after the purchase with the original receipt. Money orders that have been previously cashed or deposited are not eligible for refunds. For refunds for lost or damaged money orders, visit moneygram.com/replacement.

Items purchased with Affirm will be refunded to the client’s Affirm account. If the refund amount exceeds the loan balance due, Affirm will issue a refund to the customer’s bank. Refunds may take up to 10 business days to process. If the refund is issued through another form of payment, such as a gift card, the customer is responsible for repaying the loan.

Home Services Products(i.e. , Home TV Assembly, Furniture Assembly) – Non-refundable if used or completed. To cancel an unused service, go to your Walmart Account or contact Customer Care at walmart.com/help. To discuss a problem with a completed service or to request a refund for a service used, go to Home Services and select Partner Contacts to obtain service provider information within 90 days of purchase.

Technical Services products ( ie tech support, printer setup) are non-refundable if used or completed. To cancel an unused service or discuss a problem with a completed service, please go to Technical Services and contact True Network Solutions staff within 7 days of purchase and cancel the order in your Walmart account.


Returns with receipt

No receipt? We can search for purchases made in store with a debit/credit card or online orders with a phone number or email. Refunds processed to a debit/credit card without a receipt may take up to 10 business days.

Items with a receipt returned within the required timeframe will be refunded to the original mode of payment as follows:

Returns without a receipt

To return or exchange items without a receipt, the customer must present a valid photo ID issued by a government office. Customer identification information is stored in a secure database that Walmart uses to authorize returns.

If the refund verification process accepts the return, the following options are available:

  • Merchandise exchange
  • Cash refund if value is less than $10
  • Gift card refund if value is equal to or greater than $10

Refunds issued for lost items are subject to surcharge if Walmart or the seller can verify delivery or frequent abuse.

GIFTS< /b>

Items with a gift receipt can be exchanged, refunded to a gift card, or credited to the sender’s original payment method.

Items without a gift receipt gift can be exchanged or refunded to a gift card. Items under $10 are refunded in cash.

To return items over $300 that are jewelry, gems, or a luxury watch sold by Walmart:

  • Log in to your Walmart Accountwalmart.com/help
  • Put the item in a box. Include all original boxes, documents, grades, certificates of authenticity, and appraisals.
  • Please drop the item off at FedEx for shipping or at a Walmart store.
  • Use the shipping label provided by Walmart.

Walmart will work to validate and certify that the item has been returned in exactly the same condition as it was shipped within 48 hours of receiving the item. Once validated, the refund will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days.


A Marketplace item is an item sold on Walmart.com by a seller other than Walmart.

Most items can be returned within 30 days. Returning items purchased from a Marketplace vendor is easy. You just have to:

  • Start a return by entering your Walmart account
  • Check the return window and follow the instructions.
  • Store in a box and prepare the item for shipment. Don’t have the box? Take eligible items to a Walmart store for packaging.
  • Drop it off at FedEx for shipping or at a Walmart store, if eligible.
  • The store will provide a shipping label shipping for eligible items.

NOTE: Some Marketplace items are not eligible for return at a Walmart store. These are usually oversized, cargo, hazmat, or luxury items. Use the Marketplace seller’s shipping instructions for returning such items.

See the Marketplace seller’s return policy for details on refunds, shipping charges for returns, and possible restocking fees (up to the twenty %). Insuring items over $500 in value is recommended prior to return shipping.

Within 48 hours of receiving an eligible returned item, the Marketplace seller will verify the item and process the refund minus any applicable charges. Applicable amounts will be refunded through the customer’s original payment method within 10 business days.

NOTE: When you drop off your package at Walmart for shipping via FedEx, is declaring that the package does not contain hazardous materials. Hazardous materials include batteries, flammable liquids, computer equipment, certain cosmetics, household items, and other common products. For more information on what may be considered a hazardous material, see the Department of Transport (DOT) guidelines.

To return a luxury item* sold by a Marketplace seller on Walmart.com:

  • Within 14 days* to Upon receipt of the item, please begin the return online.
  • Photograph the item and keep the photos for your records.
  • Pack the product carefully. Include all original boxes, documents, warranty cards, grades, certificates of authenticity, and appraisals. Clothing/shoes/accessories sold as new must be unworn with original tags and stickers.
  • Use a shipping label provided by Walmart or the Marketplace seller.

Use the Marketplace seller’s return shipping instructions. Some items may be eligible for return at a Walmart store.
See seller’s return policy for details on refunds, shipping charges for returns, and possible restocking fees (up to 20%). It is recommended to insure items over $500 in value prior to return shipping.

Any Marketplace Seller luxury items returned without the required materials will be refused return and a refund will not be issued.< /p>

Damaged luxury items will be refused return and a refund will not be issued. Worn, resized, or altered watches and jewelry items may incur a restocking fee of up to 20% of the purchase price.

Within 48 hours of receipt of a returned luxury item, the Marketplace Seller will validate and certify that the item is in the same condition as it was originally shipped to the customer.

Once validated, refunds are processed to the customer’s original payment method within a up to 10 business days.

A WIC eligible item is any item listed on the applicable list of WIC-approved foods. state WIC branch.

An item purchased through the WIC program is any item on the applicable State WIC Program-approved food list purchased with a valid WIC Program Food Stamp (eg, WIC Coupon, EBT card, WIC CVV, etc.).

The USDA defines a SNAP eligible item as any food or food product for consumption in the home. It does not include specific items purchased with SNAP benefits.

An item purchased through the SNAP program is any item purchased with a SNAP benefit.


Walmart reserves the right to change the terms of this policy at any time. A receipt with a valid transaction number is required to receive a sales tax refund for items returned within the time allowed by law in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

Walmart reserves the right to limit or deny returns or exchanges, whether or not the customer has a receipt. All returns without a receipt are subject to a refund verification process. All decisions regarding returns are subject to applicable laws. The store manager retains the final authority to accept or reject any item that is eligible for return. Under no circumstances can a store manager accept the return of an ineligible item. Store managers can always, at their discretion, refuse to return an item that they believe presents a potential risk to the health or safety of any person.

Walmart also reserves the right to close Walmart.com accounts, or cancel or decline orders or returns for violations or abuse of our return policy, or any fraudulent activity related to returns.
